On November 14, 2019, Research Infosource released its 2019 rankings of Canada’s top 40 research hospitals. Once again, CAMH was listed as the number one mental health research hospital in the country, as well as one of Canada’s top-ranked research-intensive hospitals overall.
“The fact that our research program continues to grow, and is now such a significant part of our hospital's overall activity, is something of which everyone should be proud,” said Bruce Pollock, Vice President of Research and Director of the Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute at CAMH. “We know mental illness is the leading cause of disability in Canada, and that one in five Canadians will experience a mental illness including addiction in any given year. The research we undertake at CAMH is crucial to improving health outcomes now and into the future.”
