Dr. Yuliya Knyahnytska is an associate scientist and staff psychiatrist with the Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She is an assistant professor with the Department of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto with over 15 years of clinical and research experience and training in psychiatry, and clinical trials research.
She holds PhD in Health and Behaviour Sciences from UofT and specializes in treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions, interventional psychiatry, and implementation science.
Areas of Research
Her current interests include looking into novel treatment interventions, such as ketamine, eCBT, and TMS in treatment resistant mood disorders; and implementing strategies that facilitate the uptake of evidence-based practice and research into regular use by practitioners and policymakers. Dr. Knyahnytska is a principal investigator on ketamine clinical trials, and co-investigator on multiple research projects locally and province-wide. She is an active member of American Society for Ketamine Physicians (AKSP), and International Society for ECT and Neurostimulation (ISEN).
