Mental health treatment used to be one-size-fits-all. Not Today.
One in five Canadians will personally experience mental illness in any given year. However, the treatment that works for one person may not work for another. Finding the right fit is often a process of trial and error—but when someone is suffering, the wait can be fatal.
Today, CAMH researchers are tapping into the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning to personalize mental health care. By collecting and studying health data patients choose to share, we can then use this information to identify and develop the treatments that will be most effective at a particular point in someone’s recovery journey.
